Fax It, From the Archive

Fax It launched on the App Store on December 15, 2020, around one practical problem: an important document still has to be faxed, but the sender does not own a fax machine.

The first version brought that job to the iPhone. Fax It has since expanded to iPad and Mac, added receiving through dedicated fax numbers, and kept pay-per-page sending available alongside optional plans.

The original job

Sending one fax should not require finding a print shop or maintaining hardware for a task that may happen only occasionally. Fax It put the necessary steps on the phone: choose a document, enter the recipient, review the pages, and send.

That direct workflow remains part of the current app. Page credits are still available for occasional sending, and unused credits do not expire.

Now on iPhone, iPad, and Mac

Fax It now supports native workflows across Apple devices:

• Scan paper documents on iPhone and iPad.
• Import supported PDFs and images on iPhone, iPad, or Mac.
• Add, remove, and reorder pages before sending.
• Preview the assembled fax and its page count.
• Send to the United States, Canada, and more than 50 countries.
• Keep sent and received fax history with the signed-in account.

The Mac app is designed around documents that already live on the computer, including drag-and-drop import, multi-document sending, PDF review, and sharing.

Your own fax number and inbox

An optional Fax It Number plan adds a dedicated US or Canadian fax number. Faxes sent to that number arrive in the app's Inbox, where they can be opened as PDFs, saved, shared, or removed.

Sent and received history follows the account between iPhone and Mac, so the same fax can be reviewed from either device.

Pay by the page or choose a plan

Fax It keeps more than one path available:

• Page credits cover occasional sending and do not expire.
• The 200-page plan includes a dedicated number and a combined monthly allowance for sending and receiving.
• The Unlimited plan includes sending and receiving without per-page credit charges shown in the app.

Plan availability, allowances, and prices can vary by storefront and may change, so the App Store remains the current source for purchase details. The important product choice is stable: pay for an occasional outgoing fax, or choose a plan when a dedicated number and ongoing sending or receiving make more sense.
