Stitch It, Since 2012

Stitch It first appeared on the App Store on October 16, 2012. Its purpose was direct: take several screenshots and turn them into one image that is easier to read and share.

That original problem has not gone away. Conversations, receipts, research, support threads, and product notes still extend beyond a single screen. Stitch It gives the person making the image control over how those separate captures fit together.

A manual workflow by design

Stitch It does not automatically guess where one screenshot ends and another begins. You choose the images, arrange their order, crop away repeated areas, align the seams, and decide what the final image should include.

That manual approach was part of the early app and remains central today. It is especially useful when screenshots contain sticky headers, changing timestamps, overlapping content, or private information that should be removed before sharing.

Early coverage described a simple sequence: select a group of screenshots, put them in order, trim the overlap, and export one continuous image. Redaction tools also made it possible to hide names and other sensitive details.

What Stitch It does today

The current app has grown around the same focused job:

• Arrange a batch of images before editing.
• Crop and align each seam by hand.
• Redact names, faces, and sensitive details.
• Export PNG, JPG, or PDF on iPhone and iPad; Android has platform-specific save/share options.
• Work on iPhone, iPad, or Android with platform-specific workflows.

The interface and platform support have changed over the years, but the product has stayed intentionally narrow. It is a tool for making one clear image from several screenshots, without turning the task into a general-purpose image-editing project.

Built for the long run

Keeping a utility useful for more than a decade means continuing to adapt it to new devices, operating systems, screenshot sizes, and sharing habits. It also means resisting features that would make the core workflow harder to understand.

Stitch It remains actively operated by Thirty Seven. The current Stitch It product page explains the workflow, and the app is available from the App Store and Google Play.
